Furnaces: Repair or Replace
News - Latest

As a service contractor, we are often asked our opinion whether the furnace should be repaired or replaced. The short answer if the furnace is older celebrity porn than 10 years is replace.

WHY?

If the furnace is more than 10 years old it is probably not a high efficiency type (90%+) Many older furnaces fall into the 60-70% range with new furnaces at 95-96% you could save 30% off of your heating bill.

Many have a standing pilot. A pilot light on your furnace can use $1/day (that's $365/year!) New furnaces have a intermittant (or interupted pilot) which means the pilot comes only on a call for heat, or direct ignition (no pilot).
